In addition to high-quality wells, Fisch Drilling & Pump, Inc. provides additional services for existing wells, including:

  • Water Well Cleanout: Cleaning an existing water well by bail, brush, swab, and blow out to remove built up scaling and clear any clogged perforations that prevent water from entering the well. Cleanouts can improve the quality of your water as well as the quantity and can give extra life to your well.
  • Re-Line: Old well casing can sometimes become unstable and put your entire well at risk of collapse. A re-line of your existing well can increase the stability and preserve your water source and increase the longevity of your valuable water source. Water wells can also sometimes experience an excessive amount of sand and sediment which is unhealthy for your pump system, water treatment, and overall plumbing. A re-line can change the makeup of your well and prevent the excessive sand and sediment from wreaking havoc on your water systems.
  • Sanitary Seals: If your sanitary seal has been compromised, Fisch Drilling & Pump, Inc. has the tools and expertise to get your water well back on track. Installation of a 20-foot sanitary seal on an existing well takes the property equipment and knowledge, both of which Fisch Drilling can provide.
  • Demolition: An old well that is no longer in service may be required to be demolished prior to installation of a new one. Fisch Drilling & Pump, Inc. has extensive experience with proper well demolitions.
  • Inspection: Whether for maintenance, purchasing a new property, or just curiosity, a water well inspection can provide you with information regarding the depth of your well, water level, and hygiene.
  • Camera: As water well professionals, we can provide you with the key information you need regarding your existing water well. As part of our services, we offer a water well camera that can real time view and record the inside of your well from bottom to top. Use of a camera can determine the construction and condition of your well as well as assist both you and our professionals in decision making on how to best treat your well for many issues.

Unconsolidated Formations

In these types of wells, water comes from a sand and/or gravel layer. These types of wells generally need to be fluid (mud) drilled due to the nature of the sand and gravel not staying open during the drilling process. These wells need to be cased to determine water quantity.

Consolidated Formations

In these types of wells water comes from fractures in the rock. The larger and more numerous the fractures, the larger the volume of water. These wells are generally drilled with compressed air due to the stability of rock to stay open on its own during the drilling process. In these wells water quantity estimates can be made before setting casing.
